The second in a series of three bars created by inventive Spanish expat owners, Favela was preceded by La Plancha and followed by Laguna. La Plancha is on the beach in Seminyak with colorful furniture and lights out on the sand and a tapas menu. Laguna is just 10 minutes up the coast from Seminyak and features imported gypsy caravans in its whimsical outdoor decor. Favela is right in the hear to Seminyak. This funky-chic bar has a Brazilian theme. Gardens and interior walls decorated to look like rustic exteriors, windows to nowhere, candles and shrines contribute to the tropical fantasia of Favela.

Jalan Laksmana also know as Oberoi also know as Kayu Aya is a short walk from most of our villas in Seminyak. This is Bali’s “eat street”. Competition is brisk and quality, value, and decor are consistently excellent. Trattoria for Italian, Mykonos for Greek, Chandi for pan-asian are a few highlights, but try anything that appeals to you; it is hard to go wrong. Laksmana bends as it heads toward the beach where you will find Kudeta, a spectacular example of Bali’s famous open and airy aesthetic with a fine dining menu that offers surprisingly good value for such a premium location with a great view of the surf break and an amazing ambiance. You will find great cocktails and classy nightlife here too.
For our final suggestion, we offer you Vin Plus. Here you will find Bali’s best selection of imported wines curated by an excellent somalier. There are options for every budget and a interesting cosmopolitan menu with suggested wine pairings. Bon appetite!
