Sanur Beach is famous for its long walking track, also a great place for bike riding as well. Built along a beautiful stretch of golden sand, Sanur Beach is protected by a reef, making it the perfect spot for swimming and watersports, such as stand-up paddling, snorkelling and diving. There are plenty of watersport centres, including the Rip Curl School of Surf, with boats transporting surfers beyond the reef to catch some of Bali’s best surf breaks.

Restaurants and beach clubs are on the rise in the not-so-sleepy Sanur, with some great casual venues close to the surrounding villas, including Massimo’s the new Barbarossa, seafood on the beach at Andaz Resort and old favourites like Tanjung Sari, Cafe Batu Jimbar and the Fire Station, along with many local spots along the waterfront. At night we love visiting the Pasar Sindhu Night Markets, small in size but with many tasty options, it is one of the better local food markets in Bali.

Sanur Harbour is also a hub for travellers looking to explore the neighbouring islands, with boats providing daily trips to the beautiful Nusa Lembongan, Ceningan and Nusa Penida islands.
