Kuta & Legian – a Holiday Paradise

Kuta has long been known for its thriving markets, nightlife and beaches. Once a simple fishing village, Kuta has since transformed, becoming a main hub and popular tourist destination in Bali. A high-intensity stretch of shopping, western and local food, nightlife, surfing and so much more. A low-cost favourite for backpackers and families, Kuta never sleeps.

For the partygoers, bars such as Sky Garden are known for their multi-level bars and array of deejays with newcomer, LXXY, offering a slightly more upscale appeal.

Waterbom is one of Bali’s most outstanding attractions and is currently expanding. With something for all ages from sky-high slides to the gentle lazy river, it’s a great day out with delicious food and beautiful gardens. The iconic Kuta Beach is perfect for a day out in the sun, only a short distance away from our beautiful Kuta villas. The new walking track is a great addition and morning and sunset walks are a great way to enjoy.

A new skate park on the Kuta beach strip is a fun way for kids to practice their moves while the family plays in the gentle waves.
For those after some shopping, be sure to check out Beachwalk Shopping Centre, where you will find international shops such as Zara, H&M, Sephora and many more alongside a modern cinema complex. On the other end of the beach, opposite Waterbom, the Discovery Shopping Mall is also popular with two department stores and a host of local boutiques.

Continuing down the strip you will find yourself in the buzzing Legian, home to the famous Double Six Beach, and our selection of Legian villas and Double Six villas close to the action. Legian is also great for sunset drinks on the beach lined with bean bags and local hangouts, with one of our favourite spots being Swich Sandwich bar but there are so many to choose from you’ll be spoiled for choice. Find some great places to dine along Jl Padma including The Lokal and Rama Gardens, top up your margaritas at Sinaloa or savour sunsets at Azul Beach Club.

Shopping is still king along the busy streets of Legian and Kuta where you’ll find great sarongs and local homewares shops, batik dresses and surfwear at amazing prices. The familiar call for mani-pedi and massages is still heard throughout this area which maintains a village feel despite the many tourists that flock to the streets night and day. To really feel the old-school vibes of Bali, there’s no better place to enjoy a holiday or simply visit when you’re staying in other areas of Bali.
