About Bukit

From the spectacular cliff-top temple of Uluwatu to famous surf beaches and an incredible selection of resorts, villas and venues, the area known as the Bukit is a popular destination for visitors to the island with an array of beautiful cliffside villas and ocean-view villas to complete your experience.

With stunning views of the clear blue water as the main attraction, this area makes a perfect setting for breathtaking cliffside weddings and an array of wedding villas to accommodate large wedding parties.

Activities here are plentiful. The beaches along the coast include popular destinations, such as Balangan, Bingin, Padang Padang, Dreamland and Blue Point Beach. Aside from the surf breaks, these beaches are also perfect for swimming and sunbathing, eating at local restaurants and even doing some shopping. The Bukit is now also home to many new beach clubs and bars, along with popular cafes and boutiques.

On the cultural side of things, you will find temples and traditional dance performances, such as the Kecak dance at Uluwatu Temple. Held against the backdrop of the famous sunset, the Kecak dance is not to be missed.

Post sunset, get the party started at the many clifftop bars surrounding the area. Single Fin has always been a popular tourist destination, with great food and drinks, along with live music and deejays. New on the scene, venues such as Ulu Cliffhouse and Savaya, are known for hosting international and local deejays, with amazing views and a lively party scene. All are great spots for a day of fun in the sun or nights spent dancing, dining and drinking. All of these amazing locations are located just a short distance from our Uluwatu villas.

On the Ungasan side of the Bukit stunning beaches like Karma Beach and Pandawa are home to some Instagram-worthy beach clubs and The Edge has one of the island’s most photographed hanging cliff pools. There are quiet coves and undiscovered beaches, world-class clifftop clubs and thriving surf culture. Also not to be missed on the way up is the recently completed Garuda Wisnu Kencana, GWK, reportedly one of the world’s largest statues.

There are a wealth of places to see, things to do, beautiful villas, restaurants and bars for all budgets across the Bukit Peninsula. Ask us about our collection of ocean-view villas or cliffside villas and check our blog for the latest updates on the area.
